Breech baby at 35 weeks + 2

Hi girls.Went to the hospital today and little man is breech, they said I have to go back next week and see if he has turned and if not they will do some sorta twisting thing on my belly, must be sore because the doctor said the gas and air is there if need it!!If that dosent work he said they will bring me in for a c-section.

Is there anything I can do to try and make him turn? Thanks.xxx

I have a breech baby still as well. I have been told to spend time on my hands and knees. My midwife said to get my OH to rub my back at the same time. Its not worked so far. I have opted not to have them try and turn baby which my consultant was happy with so if she dont turn im having a c section.

Research the ECV procedure before you agree to having it. It has 50% efficacy, so you have a 50% chance of still needing a section if you have it and it doesn't work. There are certain dangers and it can cause a lot of pain, as you have said. Saying that, people here have had it with success.

I would try and push for having a further scan another week later if baby still hasn't turned by your next scan. Then decide whether you want to take the ECV or go with your csection date.
