Heartburn

It went away for ages but .............. its back, and I cant keep it at bay!!!!

Was awake pacing through the bedrooms between 1 and 5 this morning as the only thing that helped was moving around and being upright.

As soon as I eat or drink anything at all within 10 minutes I can feel the acid rising up and its agony. I was swigging gaviscon out of the bottle through the night (sure I shouldn't have done that but I was beside myself with the burning) and I barely got any rest.

Is there anything else I can get OH to pick me up on the way home as the gaviscon has ran its course and just isnt cutting it and I cant get down to the doctors for a prescription just now.

Thanks

Hmmm, not sure. The only other thing I know of is ranitidine which I've been prescribed but that would need a trip to the docs.

If it makes you feel any better though I've been swigging gaviscon straight from the bottle for months xx

Have you got the regular gaviscon? if so maybe try the stronger one, double action i think it might be called? theres a mint flavour one too if you wanted to try a different taste? I've only just started on gaviscon, the original aniseed one, mank. but its doing the job for me for now, so nothing better to suggest .. xx

I get this everynight when i lie down to sleep. I have found a glass of milk before bedtime (before i have any signs of it) seems to work. I have had 2 nights free of it so far. The trick is to have it before you get it. I tried once it had started and it didnt work the same

I had heartburn a few days ago. Got a big bottle of gaviscon and like you was swigging from the bottle Didnt seem to be that good. I find that Rennie Ice work better though so maybe try them? They are nice and minty too! x
