| 36 week appointment I've come away feeling a little crap Baby is head down - yay - but is back to back - not so yay. Head is no where near engaging.
I've been measuring small since 26 weeks and was told today that my LO would be around 5lbs This has surprised me and has left me feeling a little sad. I'm hardly huge so never expected a 10lber, but maybe a 6/7lber. I'm constantly being told that I'm tiny which pisses me off. I BLOODY KNOW I AM, but what am I meant to do about it??? It makes me feel bad - like I'm not feeding LO enough.
Anyway, I'm trying not to let it worry me. I guess I'm having a grumpy day! My twin sister was told she'd have a small baby and LO was 7lb 11oz. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
On a plus note - my blood pressure was fine, urine checks were fine and LO's heartbeat was fine. I'm still enjoying my pregnancy which has got to be a good thing! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | GRRR @ all the nasties for you.
The thing is like your sister, they get these estimates wrong all the time thats why they are called estimates.
So long as you are felling good, healthy and bubs is doing well then who cares.
You do have a lovely bump by the way in that picture you have on your avatar thingy, really well proportioned!
Forget about what they say and just concentrate on the rest of your pregnancy and happiness and dont worry about the back to back im sure bubs will turn for you,if not ill come and smack its botty for you!!
Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well for you |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hopefully things get moving soon hun, I wouldn't worry too much about LO's weight, they can always be wrong + you may catch up and grow more in the next few weeks. My brother was said to be a 5lbs baby, showed up early and was 8.3 lbs!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My nephew's wife only gained 10 pounds throughout her pregnancy, measured small, everyone thought she'd have a tiny baby.........ended up having a 9 pound baby girl. I wouldn't worry too much about the weights if I were you, I think a lot of it is guess work. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I agree, don't worry about the weight, I bet your LO will suprise you all.
I totally understand how annoying it is to be continually told you are small. I get the same thing and feel the same way. I eat as much as I possibly can, and am doing everything I feel is right for my LO. People think it is a compliment, but it does get to you.
As for as helping your LO roll over, we went over this in class last night. My MW suggests getting down on your hands and knees for 10-15 minutes twice a day. Swimming can also help it roll over. She was saying it is gravity that will help bring the baby's back forward, and since we as a society spend so much time leaning back, at a desk, on the sofa, it is harder for the baby to get there. But you still have some time, so you might give it a go. |

| Ahh thanks girls. You're all so sweet. I love this forum. Everyone is so nice and I know you're right. As long as things are going well, it shouldn't matter what size LO is - big or small. I feel there is so much pressure to have the perfect sized baby (whatever that is!). It pisses me off. At the end of the day there's not a lot we can do about it.
Oh and I'll definitely give swimming a go if that's meant to help. I've been meaning to go for a while now. Thanks x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My mum was saying the other day that in her day (she had 5 of us) 6lb was a good sized baby. Nowadays they say that its small and expect 8lb to be average.
I guess this is all down to evolution and society and down to the diets of today to some extent so i hate to think how big babies will be in the future!! say 20 years from now or so!! |

| I wonder the same. You're very right - years ago 6lb was perfect, now it's considered small. Crazy!!! I feel there's almost a competition amongst the pregnant ladies I work with as to who's having the biggest baby - as if those having a small baby won't have to work as hard I'm sure big or small it hurts like hell!!! |
