White blood cells in urine & delay to test results

Hi all,

I went to the GP for a routine appointment on the 26th and she said that I had white blood cells in my urine. I have rung twice now to get the results and the receptionist told me that they weren't in and they don't know when they will arrive.

Am I right in thinking that if I was at the beginning of a UTI (don't have any obvious symptoms) that this is a ridiculous amount of time to waiting at this stage of my pregnancy?

The receptionist is so unhelpful and reminds me of the 'computer says no' character from Little Britain

I had this mentioned to me when I went to the hosp 2 weeks ago. I also didnt have any obvious signs of a UTI, and she said that a slight increase in discharge can also affect the result. I saw my mw this morning and it was mentioned again, but she said it was fine?
Were they doing more tests on you then?

Hi Lisa,

No, I am still waiting on the results back from this test. Am seeing the midwife on Friday anyway. I just think it's pretty lax to leave a pregnant lady (with a possible UTI) for over a week without results, especially at this stage!
