Size varies grately from baby to baby at this stage of pregnancy. I was measuring 30 weeks at 28. Could be baby had a growth spurt and will level off. I wouldn't worry. Might just be a large baby. x

Did they measure you on scan or fundal height hun. Babys grow differently now. Im 35 weeks but my fundal height and baby are measuring 38. Often fundal height isnt accurate. It can actually vary depending on how baby is laying. I have been measuring at least 2 cm ahead since 22 weeks. Nothing to worry about

As said fundal height isnt accurate all of the time. Ive been measuring 6 weeks too big for a while now and baby is also big from scans however yesterday my fundal height was 52 instead of 36!!! My baby isnt that big Most of it is water and the way im carrying him.

I really wouldnt worry if i were you if the docs or mw had any concerns they would tell you

I don't think the fundal height is that accurate. I'm measuring a week behind but according to scans the baby is measuring a week ahead. Strange! xx

Hello - I've been measuring big all the way along too. They have said it is becuase I am short (5ft 2in) and the baby has no-where else to go but outwards. Don't worry - if they are concerned about the size they will refer you to a consultant for scans etc but its certainly nothing for you to worry about at the moment.

that is the measurement of your 'fundal height' ( top of fundus to your pelvic bone). Yes it should increase a cm each week , however can vary from midwife to midwife ( they allow up to 2cm variation). Just means bub is growing well! It would be a concern if your fundal height was decreased. Your scan is a more accurate way of determining how big bubby is. No concerns there!

I dont think fundal height is accurate at all.
When I was 28 weeks I had a growth scan and bubs was measuring fine. Both the consultant and a medical student measured me at 32.
Just, at 30 weeks, I'm measuring 31! Have i shrunk?? I dont think so lol, the opposite in fact.
