How can I encourage baby to move around more and move out of the breech position?

Title says it all. According to a few sources, my baby at 30 weeks, should gradually move from the breech position to the head down position. I know there is still plenty of time for the baby to move, but would really like to encourage the baby to move about more (he's quite lazy...only occassionally feel kicks and prods but I know baby is ok)

Are there any exercised that gives the baby more space to move around?

I was told to avoid slouching/leaning back. Try 10 mins twice a day on all fours, plus swimming (on your front). All means baby is in a sort of hammock in your belly rather than squashed up against your spine. ( My lo was back to back but I believe the same things apply) Good luck and try not to worry too much yet, it's early days xx

My baby was breech until last week. Try sitting on a yoga ball (make sure it's big enough so your knees are lower than your hips), kneeling down and leaning over the yoga ball (I tended to put the laptop on the floor and surf the internet while leaning over the ball), leaning forward when sitting, cat/cow exercises (on all fours, arch back {cat}, then dip the back {cow}.

Hope that helps!

If you sit on a chair for work, try sitting on the very edge so that your hips are tilting forward... I also try to sleep and relax on my left side - I can't remember exactly why but that's what I remember from antenatal classes!

Have a look at the website spinning babies. It is great and has loads of advice.

Also I have heard that chiroprators can turn babies. They helped mine engage. It took just 2 goes.

Good luck
