How much Gaviscon is safe?

I bought some of the Gaviscon Liquid Sachets

and wondered how many I can safely take in one day? It doesn't have any information for pregnant women anywhere on the packaging

Ummm i just drink mine as and when i need to... If you take it too much tho it does say it can cause bloating ect. I dont think there are any unsafe limits on it tho ??

I'm pretty sure it's not dangerous if you take a lot, there is no 'overdose' as such, but like someone above said it can cause bloating etc... I have awful heartburn and could easily swig it all day. I'm just trying to be sensible and put up with it as far as possible so I don't take too much. One sachet is only half a dose anyway, you're allowed 20mls at a time.

Well ive had awful heartburn and acid reflux all through this pregnancy and have lived off gaviscon.. seriously like taking big shots full of the stuff every couple of hours somedays and me and baby seems fiiiiineee, overdue, but fine so I wouldnt worry too much just take what ya need to take

Atm im drinking mine from the bottle lol i dont think theirs a limit aslong as its not like the whole bottle lol xx

I've been prescribed bottle after bottle of Gaviscon Advance- that stuff is far thicker (and more effective in my opinion) than the liquid sachets and I've just taken it when required. I've been swigging from the bottle like there's no tomorrow and have had no probs at all. My feeling is, if it comes from GP, it's fine!

as afew people have said - you can get it from your GP for free on your maternity exemption for future reference xx

That's me too! On Christmas day about an hour after the turkey dinner I was necking it like shots of vodka!

Not sure about gaviscon but i live on rennies at the moment and you can have upto 24 tablets a day, i normally have about 6 tho. xxx
