I had my old flat fairly tidy, clean and ready for the new arrival but the nursery wasn't decorated as we knew we planned to move. We just didn't know whether it would be before or after the birth.

Well as I'm sure you know we did move last week. The flat is lovely but it's such a mess. There's still loads to unpack and it doesn't help that we threw out a load of old furniture so we need to buy some more.

The mess and unorganisation is really hurting my head but I just can't seem to get motivated to sort it out. I was really hoping my nesting instinct would kick in about now and I'd want to get on and do it all but so far.... nothing!! Instead I'm either too tired or would rather be hanging around down stairs, helping out in the restaurant that OH has just taken over. I guess mabe I get bored being on my own.

Anyone else having trouble with getting stuff sorted? I'm worried it's going to be an unorganised bomb site when LO arrives and then I'll never have the time or inclination to get on with it!!

Here here! Ive never been tidy but the past few weeks Ive been awful. I really hope it kicks in in the next few weeks.

Either that or my OH gets the nesting instinct for me.

Yes, I am still waiting for it to kick in. I tried hard to kick it in yesterday but now my feet are swelling. Seems like every time I want to do something, I have some pregnancy related ailment that makes me just want to sit down

I'm sure it will all come together for you. Maybe break things up into 15-20 minute jobs to get things going...

I have it and I try so hard to fight it lol. Nothing is ever clean enough I just want to be doing. With the "resting" I've been told to do because of my contractions last week my brain is so conflicting!

Don't worry, it sure will kick in!!!! Mine are pretty strong... Sometimes it's annoying !

Oh Deise, I am a total Law and Order addict, I blame my mother for getting me into it.

My nesting is not for cleaning, it is for decorating. I headed to the Pottery Barn Outlet that is just south of Austin, and did a bit of shopping this morning. We now have a new chair in the living room, and all new bedding for our room. I am such a bedding addict, I can not resist it.

I also bought a few things for the baby at the Gap outlet. OH SO CUTE!! I can't wait to find out what this baby is so I don't have to buy orange, white, green and yellow. The girl stuff that was there was TO DIE FOR it was so cute!
