Previous tear and episiotomy... maybe TMI

Hey girls

I had a nasty tear with Lucy due to her having her arm up in the air as she came out. The mw did an awful job of stitching me and ive had nothing but problems with the stitches pulling ever since. Maybe TMI but it feels like she stitched me too tight

Just wondering if i'd be more likely to need an episiotomy this time? Anyone know?

I'm sorry I can't be any help but didn't want to read & run. If the affected area is still giving you problems, or you feel as if the skin might be weaker there & more likely to tear, I'd say to discuss this with your doctor who'll be able to tell you how its healed and whether an episiotomy is going to be more likely. xxx

I had loads of stitches as I tore badly with my daughter.I'm sure I was told 50.I tore inside and right up to my bum.I was terrified to give birth to her sister thinking I would tear.I was told it may be weak and graze but not tear but luckily I didn't.Abi was 6lb where her sister was 8lb so don't know if that made a difference but no hun I didn't need to be cut again x

the doc that did katie's 8wk check told me i'd need an episiotomy if i had any more, which scared the crap out of me!! (i had a 3rd degree tear) spoke to mw about it at my booking appt and she told me to take no notice cos he chats shit i saw th consultant about it too and she said i wouldnt necessarily tear again, although i did, but she wasnt hanging about when she decided to come out, so i think i didnt have time to stretch properly

funnily enough, i saw the same doc for ella's 8 week check...he again told me i'd need an episiotomy
