Is this something you get diagnosed with (like a breech)? I think my baby likes to lay sideways most of the time, as I seem to get more tickly type movements and not a lot of kicking. I was starting to get worried....

It's just the position of the baby and where their positioning themselves. When the mw feels your tummy she can usually tell. I hav mw app on Mon, and if babes is I'm not too worried as know there's still loads of time to move, but just curious co I hve so little movements.

All my babies hav had anterior placenta (placenta across front.) too incuding this one, but this ones movements is miniscal to the others less than five a day if I'm lucky!

Oh that's not a lot! But I suppose it's okay if there's a pattern to it?

I am 31 weeks and my baby has been lying transverse ever since. Also, I have an anterior placenta, so the kicks and punches are not as strong as they were with my 2 babies. In my last ultrasound at 30 weeks, the baby was getting tight in his position. We had a hard time getting a 3D photo of his face facing front. I wish he would move soon as I pity the little guy getting so squished in there. I feel the movements more now than I did before. I am sure you will feel them too as you are a bit farther along.

Where abouts are your movements steffi if you don't mind me asking, cos I have to admit, the laces my movemnst are are different to when i ahd my other two?

Yeah thats what MW said if there's a pattern it's ok, but scary thing is some days babes doens't move at all! all day! So am guessing gonna be in being monitered alot! Mwsaid last time that if they hadn't increased by 28 weeks I'd have to be monitered, so will see what happens at app on monday may be goin straight to hossie!

My movements are really low...closer to the pelvic area. I feel them more when I am lying on my right side. I feel sudden jerks on the right pelvic area and then a few seconds later, I feel a twinge in my left side too. His head is on my left side. I was worried at first because I am carrying this baby real low as compared to the two previous pregnancies. I remember at 28 weeks, I was a bit worried bcoz everyone was saying their babies had strong kicks. Mine were more like twinges. It just got stronger at around week 30. I am sure your baby's movement will be felt more too. Now, I can actually feel kicks and can count them, not like a few weeks ago where I was wondering if a twitch was considered a kick.

Hey hun! Yeah transverse lie is not common this far along usually but I was transverse until 35 weeks. Basically, I would feel a ton of movement then none for two days! It was awful, but luckily I had lots of ultrasounds due to a heart thing and saw her kicking away in there happily even though I couldn't feel too much. I have an anterior placenta as well so the baby was sideways right under the placenta... I was worried about a section for awhile, but she did turn and it was an awful couple of nights where I could hardly lie down. Don't worry they do move a heck of a lot more than we feel! You might need to drag in for checks more often for health and your peace of mind but she will flip around soon and all will be well...
