but I'm so homesick right now

I went back at the weekend and stayed for 2 nights at my parents and I had the best time ever with them. And I got to spend loads of time with my youngest brother, which was ace.

My Dad has just rang and told me he's been in a pretty bad car crash. He just has whiplash and concussion but his car is a write off. The man who went into the back of him is in a really bad way, in hospital still unconcious.

It sounds like a really awful thing to say, but that could so easily of been my dad and Im not at home spending the time with him I should be. I shouldnt be thinking that, I should be thinking of the poor other man and his family.

Aw no linzi, i hope your dad recovers well. Sorry to hear he had such a bad crash.

Glad you had a good weekend and hope you can pop back to visit again. How far away do your parents live?

They only live 100 miles away from me (near Newcastle) but OH and I don't have a car so we have to pay for trains which is about £80 cheapest for me to go on my own, so I cant get there as much as Id like. The next time Im going is after the baby is born, so I probably wont see them again til then.

Aw i am so sorry to hear that. I don't know what i'd do without my parents. It must be so hard for you!

I hope you get the chance to see them again before the baby is born, its an awful long time to wait. Glad you got to see them at the weekend though

No I noticed that! They're actually from Northumberland, but 9 times out of 10 no one knows where that is lol.

So sorry to hear about your dad (and that other poor man)

So sorry to hear your dad was in an accident. That is always a scary thing (even if they are okay). I hope the other man is okay as well. It's too bad that you don't get to see your parents very often. Could they come and visit you? I'm glad you had a good visit with them over the weekend, family is important and precious. I hope your dad feels better soon and I hope the other man becomes conscious again (how scary).
