Just bought a birthing ball... what do i do!??!?

i just been and bought an excerise ball as my back is absolutly killing me, and i figured it will help bubbs move down a bit further

But what do i actually do????! All i know to do on it is just bounce up and down, and swivel your hips whilst on it. Is there anything else I should be doing? xx

I had one with my first preg and it worked wonders for when I couldnt get comfy and so have bought another.

I just lightly bounce on mine, very lightly. It eases the pressure of sitting on something harder, so i find it does help with my spd and rolling my hips on it gives some confort too. If you have spd though you need to be careful with how far apart you are positioning your legs as you may not notice til you stand up that you have over strecthed yourself.

They are supposed to be good for bringing baby's head down with the bouncing but think this is mostly for in labour as I bounced the hell outta mine with dd and still went 12 days over !

i just used mine to sit at computer desk, watch tv and just generally sit on for a few days, was easier on my back than the other chairs.

I think rolling it sideways and backward and forward helps to bring baby down xx

you hve 2 get ur bum as far back as possible when sitting on it so that ur hips are straight up and down and not tilted in anyway. I find the best way to get in this position is to sit in front of something i.e. dining table.
Make sure ur back as straight as possible and bounce away apparently if ur hips are tilted slightly then it is not optimum position as the straighter ur hips are the more it encourages ur pelvis to open and the further it lets the babies head come down. I hope this makes sense and sorry for rambling i have the worst case of pregnancy brain ever jst now xxx
