hiya! im in exactly the same situation, went to mw at 34+3 only to be told shes breech! Even though its my 2nd and my first labour and birth was better than I ever could have wished for I was told that very few midwives will deliver a breech baby naturally nowadays.

Ive tried the exercises and that and thought she turned the other day but now im not so sure

Got mw a week today and if shes still breech then i'll be booked for presentation scan and consultant appt to be told what the options are but I really really dont want a c section!

will update next week xxxx

good luck with getting baby to turn hun. If you think she may have turned then just keep doing what you was doing.. plus bouncing on a ball encourages the baby to engage so maybe doing this will help encourage the insinct to turn that little bit more. Also try walking, letting gravity to help baby turn maybe.. im not sure how well these work but its worth a try. And hope your LO's turn soon. But i have heard that they can stay breech or even in a different position and then turn the day or labor.. so keep fingers crossed

Losing hope here LO did try to turn last night when I woke up as usual (but didn't feel sick! Yay!) but failed. Does anyone else get movement really really low down and even (sorry if TMI) feel it in your bum? It literally feels like he's kicking my bum lol. I think he's giving up on turning, he used to try a couple of times a night when I laid down on my side but now it's really half-hearted and like he can't be stuffed anymore I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!

It sounds like our little ones are lazy lol!!! my boy did the exact same thing, he used to try and turn a couple of times a day, and now he gets transverse, sits there for about an hour and then gives up!!! i really want him to turn as i saw a dvd on c-sec's at my birthing class yesterday and it scared the bejebus out of me lol. maybe its where the placenta is positioned and they cant get past? he always trys to turn the same way, so maybe i need to find a way to coax him the other way. i have MW appt friday and if hes still breech they will send me for a scan . maybe he will move by then. i hope ur little one moves for you. will you keep me updated and let me know how u go?

Ive been trying everything to get her to turn again but its not working

I think she might be transverse now though as I can feel a big lump either side of my bump (head and bum???) and kicks really really low.

6 days til I find out for sure. Naughty babies we've all got! lol xx

google moxibustion and see what you think- this is how i turned my breech baby at nearly 37wks-its a form of acupuncture but with no needles just things that look like big insence sticks-i saw the lady once and she showed me how to do the treatment, my husband did it the second time that evening and my baby turned that night, it cost £35 and in my opinion was def worth it!
good luck
x

Yes, of course I have a scan on the 8th of Feb. Then they will tell me what's going to happen next if the little darling hasn't turned lol. I don't want c-sec either (I think I've said that 10 times so far in this thread ) so am hoping he will nicely turn around for me.
And at least I'm not the only one getting movement so low down... it's sooo uncomfortable! LO is still as he was before so it's looking bad

Hey girls sorry to hear of your naughty babys lol
my girl is breech too and I'm hoping she will turn.

Sorry if this seems like a silly question but why is everyone so scared of a c-section?
xx

My little Anna was breech/transverse as far back as we know.

I went for an ECV at 38+4 to try turn baby and it failed - success rate around 50% - it was painful - I am glad we gave it a shot but I wouldnt do it again!!

So, we were booked in for a c-section and I had little Anna at 39+3.

I dont know why people worry so much about a c-section - ok, its not ideal, but if baby is breech theres not much you can do!! I was trying all the exercises/gym ball etc from 28wks onwards and nothing worked.

I had a very positive c-section experience - I would easily have another one if I had to. I was in and out of hospital within 48hrs and have recovered very quickly.

Good luck and I hope your babies turn for you
