I'll find out tomorrow exactly how long they will keep me in this hospital. |
I'm very much this way too. Insurance will pay for 48 hours but I'll be out as soon as LO checks out with the pediatrician. I do not like being confined in a hospital and would rather be with my family at home. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Here it's 24 hours for a vaginal.
For my c-section I stayed from Thursday until Saturday night, but that was because I had a blood transfusion. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My hospital says that the baby has to have a feed, have a 'bowel movement' (e.g. a poo) and after that we can go, providing we're both ok. Not sure how much difference it makes if you're a first time mum though - someone told me they keep you in longer with your first.
Tbh, I want to be home as soon as it's safe, I hate the thought of having to send my OH home without me or the baby. I think it would break his heart

I'm Currently Feeling: | I was told that, here, if its your first they like you to stay in overnight for a natural birth and at least 48 hours for a c-section. If you've already had a child you can be out in 6 hours! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | If i had a choice, i would be in and out asap - I just want to take him home and be a mommy - but then I do have a two week stay in hospital planned - so that might be why i want him all to myself.
A friend of mine had her first in a hospital in the south and was only in labour for under an hour and was out within 4 hours. She had another three in which her labour was even quicker and she was out in a flash with every one! |
