ARGH Mat leave!

So...my employer has known for 6 months when I was going on Mat leave. She just called (2 days before I go on leave) and asked if I would "work for a couple more weeks." Um, no, I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant and I told you when I was leaving at 12 weeks.

Apparently she also 'forgot' to request my Record Of Employment too despite my reminding her every week for the last month, which means a delay in my receiving benefits.

Don't you just LOVE people like that?

Have you got a copy of your request for maternity leave in writing?

I do indeed, and date stamped too - but she apparently decided to 'wait' on requesting my Record of Employment because she thought I 'might want to stay on longer'...but waited until 2 days before I leave to ask me!!!!

This is SO typical of my boss, she does absolutely NOTHING and has been harassing me about not taking leave because she doesn't know what she's going to do when I'm gone....Here's a crazy thought- how about you DO some of your job??!!

I gave you 6 months notice, have trained a replacement- the rest is NOT MY PROBLEM!
