ECV

I am going for an ECV on Wednesday to try and turn our breech baby.
Do any of you ladies have any experiences they would like to share. I have tried everything els;, all fours, moxabutsion, acupuncture, pelvic tilt. Baby doesn't seem to be able to turn. Although it does try and only gets half way around. I go to sleep every night hoping baby will turn.

hi
i had an ecv when pregnant with my son at 38 weeks. He turned very quickly. They will put a hormone patch on your stomach a little while before to relax the muscles (this patch gave me a very bad headache) and will monitor baby the whole time. They will only try for a short period of time and then scan you to see if baby has turned
good luck
xx

I had an ECV at 38+4- our little one was breech/transverse for as long as we know. Like you, we tried everything to turn baby from about 27wks onwards and nothing worked.

The ECV was very painful - we gave up. Babys head was pointing to 12 o'clock at the start-right up under my chest- and we got it round to 2 o'clock with a lot of pain, couldnt take anymore.

I am glad we gave it a go - but I would never do it again!!

We had little Anna by elective c-section at 39+3 - a fantastic experience and I would easily have another c-section if it had to be!

Good luck
