Driving test at 31 weeks

I have my test on Monday, I've been doing lessons since about 18-19 weeks, and this is my first attempt at my driving test. My question to those who've done it when pregnant, has the examiner asked you to do an Emergency stop and have they asked you to lift the bonnet for the 2 questions? xx

Hi hun,

I am a driving instructor and have taken pupils to test right up till the week before being due. Some have been asked a question that relates to under the bonnet and some not. The bonnet is not overly heavy so you may well be asked to answer an under the bonnet question.

In terms of the emergency stop - they are free to ask you to do this as it is part of the test. For those that I have taken to test no one has been asked to do the emergency stop, think some examiners think twice, just in case . .....my ladies have tended to really push their bumps out and really waddle to the car...bless them.

I have been pregnant twice during my instructing (back in 08 and again now). I teach loads of emergency stops, but its easier and safer for me as I know when they will take place. I always give my ladies (when teaching) the option to learn the emergency stop never force.

Hope that this helps and all the very best with your test.

xx

Thankyou thats a good piece of advice for me. I know they can ask, obviously but i just pray they don't. I've not learnt the emergency stop but i am doing on on monday just before my test, I'm not overly fussed about lifting the bonnet but i just hope i get a nice examiner who asks me two of the other 19 questions xx
