Thank heavens for dopplers! I love mine... anytime I am worried about his movements I just whip it out and listen. But I think his heartbeat is a little faster than it has been, last few times at the doc it has been more around 165 when most the pregnancy it was closer to 140-155. Who knows why thats happening...

I noticed now that Connor has longer sleep cycles so my doctor told me to pick an active time a day to do my counts.

Baby Heartbeat & Movement

My little girl is due 11th May and few weeks ago I began to panic because I couldn't feel as much movement as usual. I contacted the hospital and they told me to come in the same day for monitoring. I was hooked up to heartbeat and movement sensors. You could hear alot of noise, and the midwife explained that each noise was my little one moving about ALOT, but even though I could hear the movements I couldn't feel them at all. They also explained that when a baby can hear its own heartbeat through dopplers/monitors the baby gets very excited and their heart rate increases, so the midwife had to turn the volume down!!
Since them I have felt very lucky that I can feel her moving about for most of the day and I think that is what I shall miss most once she arrives, it is such a comforting feeling, even is she does wake me up 4 or 5 times in the night!!
