My person suggested between 24-32 weeks but she let me do it at 33 weeks but my baby had her hands and feet in front of her face the first time and I had to come back the second time. She still had her hands and feet by her face and we got a lot of half face shots. She was too bunched up to get the best pictures...I would do it as soon as possible because they run out of room.

I was told that it's better to have it done by 29 weeks. This is because they can only really see the face on the scan due to the baby being larger if you are farther along.

I think that you could do it as late as you want, but the later you are the harder it is to see great detail. I had one at 33+4 and he was so scrunched looking and his hands were up in front of his face a lot of the time. I also had one at 26+4 and that one we saw a lot more detail and he was moving a lot more in the womb. Also, the further along you are there is less fluid between the wall of the uterus and the baby, and they need the fluid to see really well, sometimes they squish their face right up against your uterus and then you cant see anything cause there is no fluid between them.

I had one done yesterday at 28 weeks, His face would have been quite clear but as the others he had his arms and legs up in front of his face and he wouldnt move them for nothing! Still it is a amazing experience i would recommend it to anyone... He just looks like his big brother
