Hi,
I am not really due over here just yet but was trawling through as the April mommies thread has vanished from 2nd Tri.

I am due 30th April and am being seen at Northampton by my consultant. I will be there for my birth.......I have no idea about this hospital at all as we have only been in the midlands for 2 years. My midwife says that I will have to ask them about a tour of labour ward etc as she normally deals with Kettering. I am going to see my consultant on 4th Feb and will ask them about it then so will let you know after then!
I had my daughter up at York so am keen to know asap.

Ooooh spooky!! So when are you due? I am seeing a consultant every 4 weeks after a few losses and having blood clotting probs.

Hi. i had my little boy there in march last year. the midwifes were lovely and so supportive while in labour. i can't however say the same for after birth. i was left on labour ward for 6 hours and the only person i saw was a man came to give an epidural and quickly realised he got the wrong room when he saw my baby.

once on post natal i felt very alone and out the way and there was one midwife who really wasn't pleasant but i guess thats everywhere.

i am under a consultant this time and feel very supported and hopefully i can say the same for after the birth.

i think the labour tours are on a saturday, my midwife had to give me a number to ring cause she is a kettering midwife too.

wishing you all the best Xxx

And i will ask my MW if she has a number to call.
Glad you got support during labour though. I was kind of worried about just being left in that part lol.
