Im not having it as i dont think there has been enough research ect into it. Its not been out long enough to have conclusive tests performed imo.

I know they say it is safe during pregnancy but they dont know if/how it will effect the baby in the future as it hasnt been around long enough to know what could happen in say 5 years time.

Dunno if that makes sense but thats my reasons for not having it.

Its a very personal decision, as you can see some people have had it and others haven't. I think you need to try and research it as much as you can and come up with your own conclusion.

We dont hear as much about swine flu as we did although there is ment to be another outbreak when the weather warms up. I didnt have it although I will get it once lo is here.

I wasn't going to have mine done but I went to the doctors for something and he asked if I'd had it I said no so he spent time going through it with me and said the benefit far outweighs the risk so I had it done, my arm was sore for a couple of days (actually it bloody hurt) but other than that I was fine
To be honest I think you get a lot of people scaremongering about not having it because it's not been tested enough or anything and even when you research on the net you still don't come away with anything conclusive.
I think the best advice is to have a talk with your doctor or midwife and talk through your fears with them.

Good luck with whatever decision you make x x

i had it back in Novemeber and im happy i did as DH got swineflu just before christmas ( he had it swab test confimed due to his asthma so they could give him the right meds ) and having swine flu knocked my DH for six he NEVER ever gets ill and in the whole time ive known him ive only seen him on bedrest once and that was post-op and it was a fight to keep him in bed then.
DS is due to get his jab on the 6th of Feb as thats when my GP is having the next clinic,
I did 3wks of research over the jab before accepting that its safe.
