Hey all, I was away today to have a growth scan as they had told me that my baby was measuring big...but it turns out that my baby is apparently already 6 and a half pounds and I still have 10 weeks to go?! My last child was 9 pounds 11, weighing 5 and a half pounds at 33 weeks, so Im thinking how big is this one going to be! Im getting tested for gestational diabetes but dont really think I have any symptoms. The sonographer didnt really seem to have many concerns, my baby is fine, but Im a little concerned to say the least. Just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this?

ive been measuring full term at 34 weeks. They didnt say the weight of baby but said it was measuring the size of full term , i dont have gestational diabietes iether.

Wow.. Mine is measuring too small and that worries me too! I was a 10lb baby though and my mum was just fine

Hmm. Sorry hun, I can't give any advice. My LO was about 5lbs when I last saw her at 35 weeks.

My LO is measuring large as well, but not big enough to do a scan yet..and I don't have GD. Good Luck!

i have this scan at 32 wks, i have GD but the last time i saw the doc she said that the baby was a nice size. she only felt my stomach tho. just wanted to say that for my GD i dont have any symptoms so u dont nec have to have them.
