I'm Currently Feeling: | Precipitate Labour Just wondering if anyone has has quick labours before? I was induded as i was 9 days overdue with my 1st. From start to finish the labour lasted 49 mins. On the 2nd baby my consultant decided that because i had a quick labour with the 1st one he would induce me at 38 weeks with the 2nd. Off i went in at 38 weeks and the labour from start to finish was 29 mins. They are planning to start me off at 38 weeks with this one too as apparently the babies come quicker each time!! I went to see the midwife last week and she advised me from 34 weeks not to go far, bearing in mind i live 30 mins drive from our hospital. My OH is absolutely petrified!! |

Good luck | Apparently the baby can get short of oxygen coming out so quick and a chance of the cord not moving out the way, thats what the consultant told me when i was pregnant with the 2nd and he decided to induce me. apart from that i think its the same as a normal labour. The 1st time i was quite traumatised after as you seem to miss the 1st and 2nd stage of labour and just want to push. I wondered what the hell was going on! lol Id prepared myself with my birth plan etc and as soon as i had pain they was telling me to push and out he popped! |

Well the best of luck. I hope you get to the hospital on time. Scary though - you could literally give birth anywhere |
