| Waters.. I am beggining to think i am really paranoid but how about this...
My knickers are constantly damp and have been for the past week, it smells very 'anticepticy' and a lot like the smell of sex if you know what i mean.
I have read that if you are constantly damp you should go to the hospital as your waters could be leaking through. However i dont fancy watsing the hospitals time, also dont wana come back home from hospital feelign silly and paranoid again for going.
I have just read that your waters may smell like semen, whatcha think?
My next midwife apt isnt til day b4 im due in 2wks, shall i go to the hospital in my spare time tomorrow or the next day and get it checked, also then i suppose i will find out if i am dialated or not! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hmmm. Well maybe just call the hospital to be on the safe side. If I were you I would wear a panty-liner and see if it soaks through. My panties have been damp for a long time and I find myself having to change them constantly, but I'm assuming it is completely normal and I know many other girls have the same problem on here.
If you truly are worried, I would call the doctor. At your MW appointment have you gone down in weight? Have you started measuring smaller? Those would be a few signs that your are leaking amniotic fluid.
I think it's a safe bet to just say that what you're experiencing is just a normal pregnancy thing. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I would get in touch with the MW!
My experience of water breaking was a whole tumble drier of towels gone through and running up the stairs with the last towel between my legs But do believe trickling can be the start
Best of luck |

(mall, grocery store etc.) Could you imagine making a big lake in the middle of the grocery? Then you're all wet, as you walk you drip! OMG that's my worse nightmare! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I always joked that I was just gonna walk round the supermarket with as much stuff in a trolley as I could fit in there, alll the time in the last week... so that if my waters went, I'd get my shopping free ( dunno if thats true, but I heard that Sainsburs do it)
Only problem is.. last pregnancy, I had to use the mobility scooter (SPD) and hubby pushed the trolley |

| Yeah I heard if you go in ASDA you get a year supply of nappies
And that if you go in mothercare you get a goody bag of expensive stuff |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'd see your mw aswell, my waters were broke when I was 10cm dilated so I can't really comment on what the smell is like etc, it was just a massive gush |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I know I am only 27 weeks, but I had a leak a few weeks back which concerned my midwife and went to the day unit of the local hospital. They were really really good about it and I turned out fine. They are used to this kind of question all the time. It can be common for waters to leak/break a little early and if you don't go into labour after 24 hours - there is a risk of infection.
Some midwives say your waters breaking can be just a small trickle....to tell you the truth - i am still freaking out about it as I am still leaking! |
