I'm Currently Feeling: | omg castor oil really does work. Yesturday i took i whole bottle of castor oil and last night i went into hospital with contractions coming every minute or so the highest being 124 in strength.
i asked for pain releif, they gave me gas and air but when that was beginging not to work as much, as they were getting so much worse, they gave me pethidine, I seriously do not recomend any having this as it slowed my contrations right down. i was only 2 cm dilated and at 7 in morn i got sent home. and here i am now. I am still getting contrations but not as painful so i cant go in to hospital .so the plan is another bottle of castor oil tomorrow lol and if that dont work ........... i'll cry!!!!! |

| Hmm I'm not going to go on about it and have a go..... but.. you only have to search google to find out how bad castor oil can be. Please don't risk your baby's health. I know the end of pregnancy can be really hard but it's really not worth the risk. Baby will come when she's ready. x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i thought castor oil was a big no-no?! thought it can cause diarhhea (sp?) for mum which wouldn't be nice while pushing and can cause bubs to have a bowel movement in the womb which can be very dangerous? could be wrong though |

It can also cause a myriad of other issues, dehydration, overstimulated uterus, etc.
And a whole bottle seems a bit much when the concensus is 1-4 oz. per day. |

| theres lots of opinions on taking castor oil it wont cause baby to have bowel movements in you as it doesnt cross the placenta as its of no nutritional value at all ! the reason its not recommended is coz it can cause diarhhea leading to dehydration so you do need to keep your fluids up if you do take it. and you should only ever take the recommended dose not the whole bottle. I took 1 spoon with my last 2 pregnancies and had them the next day but i was already having contractions so it just helped them along. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I wouldn't take it myself cos i'd be horrified at the thought of having diarhhea whilst having to push
Can't imagine that being a nice experience that i'd want to share with my OH |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've heard of castor oil working but didn't want to try it. When I had Irritable Bowel Syndrome years ago before I ever got pregnant, I took some and my gut was in an uproar. Sure cleaned me out, but the pain before was horrid. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Wow,you should be given an award for drinking a whole bottle of Castor oil! I dont know anybody who would do that. Castor oil in small amounts is already too gross for me. Hope all works out well in the end and there was no damage done. |
