I talked to my dr. about it at my very first visit because around here a lot of doctors are not very pro-natural. I'm determined to go natural. I'm planning on talking to him more about it on Monday, as well.

There is a page i can fill out in my maternity notes if i want to which i probably will, just stating that i dont want an epidural and if its breach etc then give me a go to push so i dont go straight for the c-section.

At my antenatal classes the other day though the midwife doing them said in the hospital the feedback they have got is that people dont want to be told what to do or what might help so the midwives will always wait to be asked about better methods/positions/doing stuff with baby etc than showing you straight away.
I want all the info and advice i can get!! Hey these women do this every day and i want their advice and if they can suggest a position i have not thought of which could shift the baby a bit then i want it!!!
So girls make sure you ask ask ask!!!!! pain relief/the stuff that makes you stop feeling sick in labour/easy ways to wash baby/what position might shift baby more if you are not progressing etc.
Check with your local hospitals if thats their policy too.
Im gonna write mine in big black marker pen in my notes saying im willing to try anything and want ALL their advice then if i choose not to take it then fair enough.
Hope this makes sense im babbling a bit

At my initial visit with my MW, we briefly discussed what I was hoping for with my birth experience, which is basically "let me do what I want with as little interference as possible." At my 28 week visit last week, she asked me to bring in my birth plan at my 30 week visit. It is my understanding that a birth plan is what you hope for, while also making plans for the unexpected, such as meds or a c-section, only as a last resort. Here is a great link to a birth plan you can print out to take with you and discuss http://www.babycenter.com/calculators-birthplan

I was very lucky with my first girl to have her without drugs or interference and I hope this time will be all that I hope for. I hope everyone has the best birth experience possible.

Well, I had an appointment with a nurse to discuss my options. But nothing is written in stone.
