Nuchal cord?

I just had an u/s and the doctor told me that the cord might be around my baby's neck.He said he couldn't tell if it's wrapped or just near, but it was there =/

I was wondering if anyone else had/have similar experience now or in the past pregnancies and if so what was the outcome.
I'm very worried since the baby hasn't stopped moving for more than 24 h now.
Everything else looked fine during the u/s.

Thanks

Hi

No, sorry, cannot help

If you are worried about movement, then call your MW or local Delivery Suite to get it checked out: may be nothing, BUT always better safe than sorry...

Wishing you well

QT

Lots of baby's are born with the cord loosely round their neck and it doesn't cause them any problems.

please dont panic, it makes everything worse hun (easier said than done i know). did u tell them why you were concerned because of what your doc had told you. they should defo see you if your LOs movements have changed dramatically, reduction or increase. i have been seen because of an increase in movement before. you need to ring them back and explain how worried you are and that you will not be able to rest until you have been checked x

my baby is like this as well and also gets the hiccups a lot. iv been worried about her and had to be monitored a few times, everything was fine when iv been there tho. if ur ultrasound showed a healthy baby today and ur doc is happy i would try and relax and see what her movements are like overnight. if ur still not happy 2mos ring them back x
