Question

nose bleeds

i went to the doctors today with nose bleeds and bad headaches. doc has ruled out pre eclampisia. bllod pressure was slighty high but nothing that he said i should worry about but didnt know why i was getting nose bleeds and headaches. he advised i take the rest of the day and tommorrow off work and to see midwife tomorrow (had appointment any way). he said my blood test came back as been a little anemic and has prescribed iron tablets.

i was wondering if my nose bleeds and headaches could be stress related and that my blood pressure is rising during that situation then calming back down when i get to docs xxx

i have nosebleeds and headaches too, but my pregnancy book said these are just common symptoms, so have never worried about them, i am very very stressed right now so that probably doesn't help. I am also anaemic, maybe there is a link. xx

I also get minor nosebleeds and headaches due to allergies. Glad they caught your anemia. I'm sure everything is ok. Take it easy and feel better soon!

I get nosebleeds quite a lot too, but I never really worried about it. But I also have low iron, so maybe there is a link? Who knows.

At least they've ruled out pre eclampsia. Hope you feel better soon

hey i started with nosebleeds at 26wks. the doctors kept saying it was normal.. but when i told the mw she went mad and said its a symptom of pre eclapsia.
i did get pre eclampsia towards the end of my pregnancy. i had the symptoms of it since week 24.
i always knew when my BP was too high as i would get a nose bleed.
also i never had a nose bleed in my life till i got pregnant and got pre eclampsia!
