HA! Lazy?? How about prudent and a great idea??? Do you have people who can bring you meals? If not, you'd better start freezing!

omg so he is voulenterring to cook and clean up afterwards for 2wks while you spend that time bonding with baby?
My husband is a good cook so i probably wont bother too much with pre-prearing meals i might by some of the disposable roasting dishes and make up some large lasanga's and freeze them but i just got a slow cooker so if DH helps with prep in the morning we can get dinner cooking before he leaves for work which will mean i dont have to worry about it as well as running around after DS and coping with baby during the day as i dont think DH will be able to get more than a day or two off work

I think its a good idea as will be exactly the same as buying the ready meals from the supermarket but much more healthy and prob a lot cheaper. Dont know if i will be doing it as we dont really eat things like that anyway. Might make some tasty curries though I will be making sure the freezer has plenty of bread and bits like that though and that theres lots of tins in the cupboard x

I am taking it that this is your first, and that being the case, he will probably have a better idea after he sees you push a bowling ball out between your legs, and have a greater respect for it..So, just wait...just wait...muahhahaaaaa

if your hubby wants to cook you decent meals and help look after the baby then great, but if not then get freezing. Personally, i dont think either me or dh are gunna have ANY time to ourselves once bubbs is here, so im freezing meals. Defo not lazy, just gunna prevent us ordering takeaways every night which wouldnt be ideal! U do what you need to do hun, you gotta eat good to keep your strength up once lo is here xx

He's so naive it's almost cute I didn't even have time to cook every day before the baby, I doubt I would bother to cook every day after the baby comes. Our friends, who have two kids, 4 and 6, have a cooking day every Sunday and all four of them prepare meals for a week ahead. Both OH and I thought it was such a fun, bonding idea.

Speaking of preparing meals in advance, I've never done that - but what can you actually make in advance and freeze and still get a good meal?
