Yup, that would be my reply- it's lazy is it? Well then, you do the meals for the first few weeks

SO he'd prefer you both to eat ready made meals from tesco full of preservatives and absolutely no health or takeaways instead of reheating a home cooked healthy meal? Pah!

If I were you, I'd make up your meal and freeze them but don't let him have any so he has to buy ready made minging microwave meals or have takeaway while you sit there and eat your yummy homemade lasagna!

Lazy??? What difference does it make if you cook it now or cook it then? Like someone else said it's better to have something homecooked and frozen than ending up eating take-out and ready meals

We've frozen loads of stuff - lasagne, pies, mac cheese, soup etc.

Our friends had a baby recently and we took them some lasganes and pies for the freezer and they said it was the thing they appreciated the most, rather than all the gifts people were bringing them.

I say go for it - and then once LO arrives you can give your OH a big fat 'told you so'

For the few weeks before I was due I made up double portions of everything i made for tea and froze half. I'm so glad I did it was a god send the first few weeks of LO been here.

Also if family and friends want to visit you and baby when you get home tell them they have to bring a meal with them. We didn't have to cook at all the first few weeks was great :-)

Lazy?? I don't understand - surely it is proactive? I'm def going to do this, think it's a brilliant idea. Unless he's going to cook of course....! x

it's a brilliant idea and I'm sure you'll really be glad you did it once LO arrives. Just ignore him and crack on.
