I have unbearable back pain and have done for about the past 5 hours, and now im beginning to get really bad period type pains for the last hour or so that are getting stronger however my bump isnt tightening as they happen its just constant period type pains and my bump is hard like it usually is for teh past week.

anyone relate??

I havnt been asleep yet and its 7am , i have a midwife apt so i can ask her at 11am but for now, any advise?

Ok, as i wrote my first post my 'period pains' stopped being so unbearable and faded but as I type this now, there coming back again?
what yous think, me not handling normal pregnancy pains well? or handling labour contractions okay? I just imagine them to be really really bad so i really dont no.

Have you had a bath or anything? I get period type pains that get really bad, (like to the point where I'm in tears sometimes) but usually after a warm bubble bath, they fade away. I hope something is starting for you!! Thats good you have an appt in a few hours, you can ask your mw.

No I havent had a bath yet, i think il do so now, as its early enough to not wake anyone up. I suppose once Ive had my bath, done my hair and gotten ready it'l be time for my appointment and midwife can give me some advice.

Any one know how she will check if I am in early labour? like say my pains dull down will she do something to see if i am, I dont think we have moniters in my local GPs practice so im wondering how she would tell.

I have had my bath and my stomach pains seem to have eased off majorly just get the occasional lingered pain. Back pain is stil really bad though, and of course the pressure on my pelvis.

Im kinda dissapointed now though, im so desperate for baby to arrive.

She said baby is very much ready to come she is right down and my pains point to early labour, I just have to wait tho as she said she hates to say it is early labour coz usually with first time babies u go 4-10 days over due hopenot x
