Sleep

Sorry if this has been asked recently! As always, everyone says that we should no longer sleep on our stomachs (obviously) and our backs. Well my question is what side is better to sleep on? My LO is always nestled on my right side and for some reason it is more comfortable to sleep on my right. But someone in my family said the other day, "If she is on your right, you should be sleeping on your left." I tried this last night and let's just say, in less then 5 minutes I was back on my right.

Why did she say that? Is she right?

Yes, you "should" be sleeping on your left side (because your livers on your right). No you can't possibley put yourself on your left side and stay there all night if that's not natural for you. My LO is all down my right side, and, like you, I find that alot more comfortable on my right side. If I was hurting her in any way I'm sure she'd move sides. I sleep on my stomach sometimes too. I can't help it. I'm a belly sleeper.

Sleep however you feel comfortable. If you weren't meant to be sleeping like that, your body would let you know!

Thanks Toria!! I think you're right...after all, sleeping on my right side is the only comfortable position left. Haha!

That's alright. My midwife gave me a lecture when I asked her if it was alright that I woke up on my belly sometimes. She said "even if I tell you that it's not alright, how are you going to stop it happening?" She was right. LOL

I sleep in whatever position is comfortable. It's worth it to get at least 5 hours of sleep!
