everyone keeps asking if i have dropped but im not entirly sure what they mean by this? im a bit thick i guess! im 40+4 and would of thought that i should have but my bump still looks and feels the same as it has through most of my pregnancy, i put alot of weight on straight away so not got too big towards the end!
could someone please explain what is meant by has baby dropped, midwife says head is well engaged but on notes only says 3/5, i dont want to wait too much longer for my little sproglet!!

It`s more of a layman`s term than a medical one- sometimes when babies engage in the mom`s pelvis, the bump looks lower down and people comment that she has `dropped`- not everybody experiences a change, however and if you are well engaged you are on your way

I didn't notice that my bump had dropped - DH pointed it out... and it does hang over a bit now

I guess it's more noticable if it was high to start with But if the head is engaged that's the main thing. Hopefully you won't have a long wait
