Red face

Was I in Labour Last Night ?? Help!!

I was out during the day and done a fair bit of walking. I started to feel my bump tightening (like BH) but it felt different, it was stronger and my back was really hurting too.. I went home to rest because I thought I had just over done the shopping

I layed down on the sofa for a few hours (watching nanny mcphee ) and everything went away so I thought, yeah its just BH..

At about 10pm ish I started having strong tightening in my bump and I could literally see my bump kind of squeezing and pushes the baby down!!

It was squeezing him from the sides and deffo pushing him down from the very top of my bump.. Odd?? I dunno??

Anyway my other half started to time them and they were coming every 10 mintues and lasting about 30 seconds. They were bang on, 22:31, 22:41, 22:51 etc...

I had no idea they were coming like that until we actually checked..

It got pretty late and I said I wanted to try and sleep so I had lots of energy encase it happened that night (last night)

Woke up this morning and NOTHING im fine, babies fine and moving around, no tightening, nothing..

I was pretty sure that was it !! lol

what do you think happened

I had something similar when I was in 2nd tri, but they were every 30 mins to the second. Stopped after a while.

I still get one or two a day, but my doc told me Im not dilating so it's ok I guess, just rather painful!

Hope you feel better soon.

I was really busy yesterday as well, and my bump was not happy last night either. I just took it as having done too much during the day. It kinda sucks feeling like I can't do as much any more, there are loads of things I still want to get taken care of.

Sounds like it, I would take it easy for now !!! Mention it to your midwife/doctor at your next appointment... Maybe she can check if you're dilated.

I have that too. Irritable uterus is the culprit. Dehydration + too much activity + up on feet + lack of rest = false alarm

My docs know in the last 6 weeks or so that I often come in having good BH contractions that are fairly intense... between 6 and 10 an hour lasting 30 secs to a minute. Especially if Ive come in from running a couple errands prior.

Hang in there your almost there!
