Yeah I couldn't believe it when the nurse said I was having contraction 2-6 minutes apart (then comes out with her needles... I hate shots). Have you been having menstrual like cramps?

yeah, it feels as if AF is gonna come the next second.

I just looked at my discharge instructions and it says to give them (the hospital) a call if you have

1) epigastric pain
2) fever of 100.4 or more
3) abdominal/intestinal pain with or without diarrhea
4) a sense that somethings wrong

Sometimes you have to go on instinct I didn't think I was in labor I just thought something was wrong because I was having such severe cramps for an hour+ but it ended up I was having contractions. If they don't go away and they still really hurt I would give them a call and see if they want you to come in.

BH can feel like period pains, but most of the time mine weren't so low down. Mine were usually across my whole stomach in "waves" and felt as if my stomach was tightening, sometimes it would be painful.

A few days before giving birth and up to the day my waters broke, I had bad "period" pains and seriously bad lower back pain.. as my contractions progressed, my pain was in my back totally so I can't be of loads of help there!

im really confused about BH too, i have had contractions 3 times so far, all of them have been like period pains in my back and they hurt, whether this is bh or not search me. luckily they always go away within the hour. if ure having intense pain that builds up and last more than an hour, and keeps getting worse, and drinking doesnt help id say off to the hospital u go..

My BH feels like its my bump getting tight, sometimes they're painful and feels like it's crushing my whole inside. I've gotten some BH + menstrual pains at the same time, the bump was really really tight + I felt like I was going to be on my periods, I would feel it all over the belly, down to my lower back and my bum. These were a lot stronger and lasted longer too.

I have been getting BH that feel more like I am going to start my period, super crampy and a bit painful, so Im assuming when they feel like that they are likely real contractions, cause my BH just always felt really tight and uncomfortable but never like that! But I have no idea because I have never been in labor!
