Low lying Placenta at 31+4

I thought I had my pregnancy by the book. Everything was well, from weight gain, exercises, appetite, emotional feelings until last Friday. Yes last Friday, I got the scare of my life when I went to urinate and saw some brownish blood in my underwear. Not a lot but enough to scare me. My hubby and I rush to the emergency and a series of test were conducted, including the 30 minutes fetal heart rate observation.
Vaginal check-up, and a sonogram. I was so nervous and thank God, baby is healthy and ok!
The doctor says that because my blood color was brown, meaning I had the bleeing before, it was not just enough
to come out until now, he warned me to be very careful, coz I have a Partial Placenta Previa, the next time I bleed they might do the cesarian operation. Oh, noh, I am just 31 weeks, the baby will be very premature.
I am drinking Ritodrine hydrochloride to reduce contractions and a lot of bed rest! I am praying at least baby will stay in my womb until 35 to 38 weeks!

did they pick up on this at your 20 week scan hun? Or did they just find it now? There is still time for your placenta to move up. I have it too and M/W said there is no point in re scanning me at 32 weeks as it can still move up so i am getting re scanned at 35 weeks. When will they scan u again hun? I hope you have no more bleeding. x

I have had bleeding on and off since 28ish weeks and was told it was due to low lying placenta. I was in hospital at 33 weeks and honestly thought the baby would be here by now due to the problems. But since then I have had no more bleeding, been for my 36 week scan last week, the baby's head is below the placenta and no sign of what was causing my bleeding! I am now safe to deliver naturally, it's amazing how different this is to what I thought only a couple of weeks ago, FX'd it's the same for you as well x

21 weeks sonogram shows I have Placenta Previa but the Doc says it will still change, supposedly my next ultrasound would be Jan 14th, 32 weeks, but coz of the bleeding I had the ultrasound at 31 weeks. I am seeing two doctors in different hospital. The first doc supports Vaginal birth and he told me I still have the chance of vaginal birth , just like you say it can still change. The second doc is an expert on premature babies and that is what he told me that i can't afford to have another bleeding or else they will do the operation. I will have my next appointment on my 35 weeks too , I hope
my baby will stay there, no more movements, just rest and rest! thank you so much for the hugs! After this incident i just realize how fragile pregnancy is and how badly i want my first baby to be full-term!
