I'm Currently Feeling:  | 39 week appt... =(
Hey girls... I had my final prenatal appointment this morning, but my doctor is out of town until the day of my section, so I had to see a nurse practitioner. She is really nice, and I liked her, but it was different since she didn't know my whole pregnancy history except by looking at my chart. Plus it took her almost 5 mins to find LO's heartbeat. She kept skipping over it, I'd hear it for a second, and she'd move on.  Anyway, the past couple weeks my BP has been a little bit high, and they've commented on this every appt. But my urine has been fine. Well today, BP was high again, and they found traces of protein in my urine. She didn't tell me how much, just said it was there. She looked at how swollen I am (which is VERY swollen), and we talked about some symptoms I've been having. Symptoms that can mean pre-e or just pregnancy discomforts, but since I have a couple that could indicate pre-e, she sent me to do blood work. Now its a waiting game for the blood work results to come back, because she is worried that I have pre-e now... She hopes to get the results back this afternoon, and if its positive, I will be checking in to the hospital today rather than Tuesday. I'm scared and nervous, and I want my doctor back in town NOW! If this happens, the other doctor in the office, who I've never met, will be performing my section. Please keep your fingers crossed that its nothing ladies... I'm scared.  And I thought this week would be the easiest since I have my section date and everything.... |

Maybe your LO is just desperate to meet you! Good luck either way. I hope you don't have Pre-E. They thought I did too, and I didn't. Infact, most people they test for it are negitive! |
