 Yes, they are trying to schedule one now (for 39 weeks). Of course there is still time for the little monkey to turn. I have another consultant appointment at 38 weeks (when she will do a quick scan). Then - if he hasn't turned by 38 weeks - they will scan the morning of the operation (just to check he is still breech). Apparently (small baby, very compact bump), it is hard to tell my baby's position through tough... If he does turn, they will just cancel the operation. I am ok with it all, the only problem I have is that I do like to know what is going on (i.e. getting your head around a CS for him to turn at the last minute would probably confuse the life out of me...). If I go into labour in the mean time, can't hang around - need to go straight to the hospital... QT | |

Of course I'm hoping my scan tomorrow will show a head down baby girl, but if not I've got to get my head around a CS too; a complete world away from our planned home water birth.... (I don't know that I'd go for the ECV either as I'm not great with docs and hospitals at the best of times!) Fingers crossed for all of us! x |
