I'm only in my second tri, but wanted to post this here since you all are much closer to needing them

With my first, my friend who is a labor and delivery nurse gave me a recipe for homemade baby wipes. She said they use them in the neonatology unit at her hospital because store bought ones can be so harsh. So I have used them my son's entire life and he has never once had diaper rash unless he is sick, and even then it is so mild we put some vasoline on it and it is gone by the next day. They sound kind of like a pain, but really, they take 5 minutes to make and saves your baby a world of hurt in the rear. So here it is if you are interested:
Viva (Kleenex Brand) papertowels (they are super soft). Cut these in half horizontally so you end up with 2 toilet paper size rolls. This is the worst part of the process. I use a long, serrated bread knife, which seems to work best. In a tupperware container big enough to hold the roll of papertowel, add 2 cups water, 2 tablespoons baby oil (I use the one with aloe) and 2 tablespoons baby wash. Mix. Add paper towel and close with lid. Let it sit for 1 minute. Turn tupperware upside down and let it sit for 5 minutes. Right the tupperware, remove the cardboard core from papertowel, and start using wipes by pulling up through the middle. Viola- your cure for/prevention of diaper rash. And they are much wetter than store bought ones, so I often have to use only one or two for the poopiest diaper. Oh, and another thing I learned, they will start to mold after about 2 weeks. If they start to do this sooner, rinse your tupperware out with bleach water.
