UTI or normal

So here I am on day two of the worst lower back-ache, pressure in the nether-regions, ache in the back of my legs, nauseated, exhausted, blah feeling ever.

When I would get uti's (urinary tract infections) as a teen/early twenties, this is what it felt like. I never really experienced burning when I pee, or fever like some people, but all the rest fits, and I'm wondering if anyone else had these symptoms later in pregnancy without having a uti...

Baby is very high still and doesn't seem interested in my hoo hoo opening at all

I'm also worried a little about early labor, though I'm not having regular contractions that I can discern (BH every hour or so, but nothing like a regular contraction). I should add here, I was induced with my first at 36 weeks or so, so I have no clue what 'pre-labor or onset of natural labor' feels like, and it seems everyone has a different tale to tell.

Maybe I'll just call the docs office and see. I have my regular appoitnment on Monday though, and I was trying to wait it out. Though if it's serious, I do not want to wait that long...

Just kind-of a rant, and a question to see if anyone else had these symptoms that seem worse than normal pregnancy aches.

I'm sorry I really don't have any advice but I think calling your doctors office is a good idea

I've experienced many of the symptoms you've been having within the last few weeks.

I've noticed that I'm easily nauseated and constantly exhausted now. I had a terrible pressure in my pelvic region that stopped only a few days ago and lasted a few weeks. This pressure made it quite hard for me to walk or even lay down properly. The pain was so intense. I think this was merely the baby's head engaging causing my pelvis to ache.

I think these symptoms simply come with pregnancy and may not be a sign of a UTI.

I've experienced two UTIs throughout this pregnancy and knew I had them because of a burning sensation during urination accompanied by a bad lower pelvic pain and frequent urination. At least you don't have those symptoms.

However, because you said that this is how you remember UTIs feeling as a teen, I would still contact your GP just for reassurance.

I hope you start feeling better soon, Margerle!

Well, I got paranoid that this was something daunting, and called my doc who made an appointment to see me. No UTI, but she did take a swab of cervical fluid to make sure there wasn't infection there that could be causing my symptoms too.

My BP was a little higher than normal, but I had to pee so damn bad when I got there (knowing I'd have to give a sample), that I think I probably worked myself up so as to not pee my pants there in the waiting room.

Baby's HR was 130 and the lowest it's been yet, but she was no doubt sleeping soundly.

They checked to make sure the cervix was still closed and thick to rule out that my BH's were making any progress, and it was still okie dokie so that's a load off!

Been having some decent BH's since the internal though which is quite uncomfortable.

DH was very sweet and took the afternoon off from work, took me to my appt. and then to have mexican food. It was a nice afternoon together even if it was for worriesome reasons.

Anyway, just thought I'd follow up. I still feel attrocious but at least I know it's nothing obviously wrong. I'll wait and discuss it a bit more with my doc at my regular checkup on Monday.

Here's to hoping the cultures come back clear too, and that all this is just some pregnancy anxiety
