whats the earliest you were delievered and why?

heya girls

just wondering whats the earliest you had your babies and why?

Im suppose to be sectioned at 37+5 this time round
as previous stillbirth at 42wks and she only weighted 4lb 8oz...

iv had 3 admissions to Labour ward already with reduced movement
&& each time iv been scanned and put on CTG and all looking fine, but
still have a quiet LO and still losing serious amount of sleep with worry...
im back up with consultant on 7th Jan, and dont think i can wait that long
to talk about things... especially dont think i can cope with worry and stress and a quiet baby until 37+ 5... i want him here sooner that way i know hes ok.. i mentally cant cope with waiting until 37+5 on 2nd feb... its making me a nervous wreck i want to go back to L&D delievery tonight for more monitoring and wanna mention my concerns and push for an earlier delievery if possible

so basically just curious to see why other people had early babies ?and the outcome of the delivery.. was your lil one in scbu or long or at all , what sort of delivery you had etc..

Hi hun, my son was stillborn at 27 wks so worried entire time, daughter was induced at 38 due to my worrying and although im now 12 years on from them this time has been no easier, I worry more with every day and 2 weeks ago one doc said would look at inducing at 38 wks again for me but went saw another doc xmas eve she said no way and would make me go to 40 wks but wouldnt leave me after that!! Next doc appt booked for 40+2 and going to hosp be monitored every mon and thurs till then but I am same and I constantly worry and have started trying everything possible to get my son to come out!! I sit here all day worrying as he 2 isnt a big mover and as soon as go hosp and get hooked up to monitor he performs like in circus and I feel like a total idiot but ive now decided im just gonna ring whenever I need the reassurance and stop worrying about bothering anyone.

Thanks a million for your reply.. sounds like you understand completly how i am feeling then... i think its disgraceful them wanting you to go to 40weeks.. even tho it was a while ago and you've had a baby since, i dont think doctors understand the worry and pain/stress NEVER leaves us.. the closer im approaching the time the more worried im getting, i am actually losing serious sleep over this and cannot concentrate on anything other than preparing for the worst, its horrible..

Like you my lil one quiet (obv as reason iv posted soo much) and just like you as soon as i go to hosp he acts up for the machines.. he's NOT in anyway a big mover , deffo not a kicker, rolls and pushes only..
Like you also, i dont care what they think of me in the hosp, they prob sick of looking at me but im not bothered, im scared and stressed and if they cant accept that fact ..well (excuse my french) F**k them...even tho its new years eve and most people will be out celebrating my plans is going upto labour n delivery for the 4th time with worry... im gunna try despertaly if i do go up to be delievered before my planned c-section at 37+5 as i cant cope with the worry..

really hope your lil one arrives soon safe and sound
thanks again for your reply x

hey hunni can i ask how early you are thinking? I dont think they will deliver your lo before 37 weeks as he wont be full term till then, and would risk complications. His lungs wouldnt be fully mature and the chances are he'd need a stay in the SCBU. I know your worrying now, but he really is best off where he is for the moment. Imagine the worry if he was delivered early and poorly

Hope I aint offended you or nothing xx

Nothing constructive to add, but wanted to send best wishes and hugs

Everything crossed that you get your baby in your arms VERY soon and can relax a little

Kayleigh

Ideally i want him out at about 35weeks
i know he'd need a sprint in SCBU .. but i honestly feel i dont tink i can go to the 37 weeks...

i know the best thing would be to wait until term... but i dont think the stress im under is going to any good to him and feel with the amount of worrying im doing and him been soo quiet that he'd do far better out slightly earlier then in my belly and been in the state im in everyday

wudnt be so bad if i had a lively lil one, but hes very quiet and laid back
and soo stubborn not even lying on my side will budge the lil monkey these days...iv been resorted to keeping a movement chart and really wish i cud fill it faster each day

im that bad i know its NYE and all but my only plans tonight are to go up to Labour ward and tell them am worried, even if it means i monitored and get it wrote down im concerned so bad

awww hun. I cant even imagine how worried you must be, just try to relax and be assured that your lo is fine in there (harder said than done i know).

I guess its always worth asking if they will give you your c sec earlier, just try not to get your hopes up cos I dont know if thats something they would do before 37 weeks without there being some sort of medical emergency to get him out.

I think if it was me, I'd rather try and wait out the 2 weeks than having to go through seeing my baby in special care that must be the worst thing ever. Good luck anyways xx

Evie was induced at 34 weeks (weighing 3lbs 12oz) due to my waters breaking at 33w 5d. She also had IUGR, so thankfully id already been given the steroids to mature her lungs as they thought they might have to get her out early anyway. She was in NICU and SCBU for just under 3 weeks, as she was so small, but mainly because she had an infection due to my waters breaking and needed antibiotics. xx
