Well they WILL induce before 37 weeks in SOME circumstances. I had an induction booked for 36+3 (started at 36+1 but changed it because of a prior arrangement elsewhere) but I cancelled it the day before. Baby has had steroids for his lungs at 27 weeks and we KNOW he is a very good size (in excess of 8lb now) so his coping ability at just under 37 weeks wasnt in question.
Its quite obvious you are really struggling, personally I think that maybe you can have a discussion to get the induction brought back to 37 weeks exactly and get some counselling to help you with your anxiety relating to this pregnancy to help you through the next few weeks.

have you asked them if you could stay in hospital from 34/35 weeks onwards? i know its not the nicest place but atleast if they wont let you have him any earlier you'll be somewhere they can moniter you and it should make you feel alot more comfortable too. x
my consultant told me their was a bed for me at the hospital from 22 weeks onwards if i felt i would be happier their cause iv been a nervous wreck throughout this pregnancy so far.
maybe you could ask them that if they say no if they havnt offered already?

thinking of you hunni, the constant worrying is awful xxxxx

you must have been worried sick while she was in NICU and SCBU

They had mentioned 4 weeks ago to start me on steriod injections
and said it maybe discussed at a later date soo i dunno really
estimated weight for my lil one at growth scan @31+6 was 3lb 12oz
am not due back up to hosp until 7th jan but am going upto night to voice my concerns

i wish he'd magically turn into a hyper baby to put my mind at ease some.. xx

Thankyou ... i will just do that... and your suggestion of councelling, it hadnt actually crossed my mind, but i do think it could well be something i need, esp for anxiety.. some might think ''ohh this girl is seriouslly seeking attention'' but i not im just soo scared of losing this baby like iv lost my daughter i feel like im at my wits end...
Thankyou , i gunna ask in the doctors where i can get help as im finding it hard
or if i go to L&D later i will deffo mention to MW and tell her how scared i am and maybe there some support they can offer there
Thanks

jackie.d

nah deffo wudnt be the nicest most comfiest place in the world but at least id be reassured somewhat..

i have no experience but what i will say is you are in my thoughts and if it will help you to go to hospital every day... then so be it! who cares if they get sick of you if it means you and LO are ok?! what are they going to do... ban you from the unit?! honestly if that helps then do it... maybe they will give in to you if they get sick of you anyway, it's worth a try! my heart goes out to you... we all worry but with your past experience i can see why you must be feeling the way you do. sending you all my love xx

I had my twins at 33+4 as i had severe pre-eclampsia.They spent a month in scbu as i had strep b and nobody knew and the boys both got lung infections from it . I am 33+4 today so feels slightly weird . I really feel for you hun it must be so hard and scary . I doubt very much they will consider induction before 37 weeks , but speak to them about your feas see if they can arrange more close monitoring for you xx
