I'm Currently Feeling: | Sorry, but no, I am not scared of labor, from day one, it is not something that scares me. I know it is going to hurt, the pain will not be fun, but it does not scare me. I may not have given birth, but I have passed kidney stones, and so I know what horrible severe pain is, so I think that has helped me put labor in some kind of perspective. I will have a great group with me during my labor, and I totally trust my MW, I will be in my own home, I am actually really looking forward to it. I want to know what it will feel like, how I will handle it, how amazing my body will be to do this incredible thing. I am starting to plan my labor projects as well, washing the baby's clothes and baking sugar cookies with my mom.
One thought that also helps, is that I have no idea what is going to happen, so I can't be afraid of what I don't know. I can only take it as it comes. Try to let the fear go. Or talk to your MW, and see what you two can do to help you work through your fears. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm not scared of the pain, I'm scared of the complications. At the time, we'll deal with the pain, just like we were made to. It's fine to be anxious, I would be to if I wasn't such a 'no point in being afraid of the inevitable' kind of person. | | | | Status: Online

I'm with those who aren't worried but I can see why you would be. It's only natural though and at the end of it you'll have your baby!! Try focusing on that instead. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Im scared about the pain too, I can't really see how I'm going to deal with it or where Ill get the strength from. I felt ok about it when I had my original birth plan but now Ive had to decide on something different and I really dont feel comfortable about it.
