when did you pack your hospital bag and what did you put in it? Are you taking a seperate bag for bub or putting it all in one bag?

what are you putting in bubs bag?

hi hun, ive got mine almost packed now. Just got silly things to put in there like a back up of telephone numbers, magazines, money, food etc.

Ive got 2 bags which ive packed... an overnight bag which has got all the stuff im gunna need in labour, and then a small wheely suitcase which has all my overnight stuff in, and bubbs bits. Ive then got lo's changing bag with his toiletries in.

Off the top of my head ive packed...

2 nighties
1 pair pjs
slippers
dressing gown
toiletries
hair bands and clips
20 maternity pads
12 pairs black cheap knickers
4 newborn vests and sleepsuits
3 0-3 vests and sleepsuits
going home outfit for lo
snowsuit
scatch mitts
socks for lo
27 size 1 nappies
dark towel for shower, smaller one for oh to freshen up
change of undies and clothes for oh
going home clothes for me
nursing bra
socks for labour
bibs
dummy just incase
wipes
muslins
nappy bags
hat for lo
blanket
cotton wool
change for hospital
important tel no's
mags/snacks/drinks
mp3/ipod etc

cant think of anything else i have put in, but that list is off my head so may have missed a couple of bits off. HTH xx

I have just started today. I am taking a small wheely kind for me and the changing bag for bubs and a bag for my husband that he can keep in the car.
As for what to put in it I have looked since my 1st day in 3rd tri at threads and such and got my list ready. Here is my list (sorry it is out of order and unorganised, i have several)...
For Me
Maternity notes
birth plan (if i bother making one)
night dress for labour
dressing gown
slippers
lip balm (dry lips during labour)
lotion (massages during labour from OH?)
hairbrush and hairbands (for labour)
snacks and drinks and sweets (some for labour, some in case canteen is shut and we are hungry after)
sports bra (for labour)
pack of maternity mats
2 packs of maternity pads
breast pads and nipple cream
4 pairs of dark undies
3 pairs of socks
nursing bra
puzzle books and pens
book to read
toiletries (makeup, shower stuff, teeth brushing stuff)

wet wipes (toilet paper may be scratchy on stitches)

wipes (have a travel wipe pack of only 16 wipes)

cotton balls (some hospitals wont let you use baby wipes for LO)

For OH
(he will more than likely get sweaty and will need to wash up, some hospitals will let them shower, but my OH wouldn't he is bald anyway so it is easy to sink wash for him)

I started mine at 30weeks, I finished collecting it ages ago but have only just washed everything. I've got w small wheelie bag and the my changing bag for bubs.

Hmmm I haven't packet mine yet - you have all spurred me on! From the amount I need to pack I am going to look like I'm moving in!!

i packed mine at 30 weeks, pretty much same as the others but i have pj's not nighties, starter pack milk for lo as not bf, puzzle books and my Nintendo ds...probably having a section and it gets soooo boring once lo is asleep and there are no visitors lol xx

thanks so much ok so i will be stealing a few things from the lists lol!! sample size shower gels and things great idea for space saving Also camera....my goodness i totally hadnt thought of that id be sooooooooooooo peed off if i forgot it! best dig out the charger!! I think i will start getting organised within the next week it will make me feel better if mine and LO bag is just ready to go (fingers crossed i wont need it too soon!) Also someone mentioned about clothes for OH and toiletries does the OH get to stay? when my sisters gave birth the daddys werent allowed to stay?
