Any good remedies to help with a cold?

Hi Gals, I've come down with a cold - cant believe it! I'm 39+1 today, so could really do with out it. Do any of you have any tips on how I can get rid of it. I have taken a couple of paracetamol, but dont really like taking them even though I know there okay to take whilst pregnant. I dont really want to go into labour with a cold

I had a cold at 39w and it was horrible. All I did was have lots of naps and sleeps (I felt totally wiped out) and lots of hot orange and honey drinks, plus the odd paracetamol (know what you mean about not wanting to take it) when I felt I really needed it.

Other than that, it was a case of blowing my nose like mad and waiting it out.

Hope you feel better soon.

There's not much you can do to get rid of it, I'm afraid. You can ease the symptoms though! Herbal tea with honey for sore throat, paracetamol for headache, lots of sleep to help your body fight and maybe some saline solution to keep your nose clear...
