I would have done the exact same thing as you.. You just gotta do whats best for you and baby and thats what you've done.. No one should be having a go at you at all, thats unfair..

Its not far away now at all, you must be super duper excited !!

I think the 1st April is a cool birth date, I'd leave it as it is, but you go wth whatever you feel most happy with

I say go for the 2nd, it is my mom's birthday!!

How exciting that you get to see your LO so soon.

One question you should ask your doctor is her method of suturing the uterus after the cesarean. Make sure she uses the technique that stitches it up in a two layer method as opposed to a single layer that Obs have started doing because it is quicker. The two layers will heal stronger and will give you a much better chance of a VBAC later on than the single layer will.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks girls! Samantha, I do believe I read in the surgery notes that they do the double suturing. The uterus first, and then your skin on your stomach. I will make sure to ask at my appointment this upcoming week. (Yikes! My last appointment before LO is here!) I'm going to make a list of questions to ask before my appointment.

A question I have for some of you ladies who have had c-sections, what was the recovery like? I'm assuming we still have vaginal bleeding, do you girls know for about how long? (If its any different than a vaginal birth) Thanks!! =)
