Something's happening... (sorry if tmi)

I was told by my midwife that I had already lost my mucas plug before when I had a stringy, bloody, mucasy thing come away... but nobody told me I could expect THE REST OF IT to fall out at a later date; I went to the bathroom this morning and was mortified to notice (what looked like) a great big jelly fish with blood clots in it sitting on the toilet paper after whiping...

Throughout today I have had some back ache, cramping and contractions but nothing to get excited about. I've also lost quite a bit more bloody mucasy stuff. I think that this might be the start of something but obviously don't have any regular contractions to back that up yet (or I'd be down the hospital now!)... It's just a feeling I have...

What do you all think? Could baby be on her way?

certainly sounds like LO is on the way - i had the jellyfish type thing in the morning and gave birth the following morning - back ache could be the early labour though!
Good luck - wishing LO a safe entry into the world.

Thanks girls... Have just had a rather strong, painful minute-long contraction but that was 10 minutes ago and nothing since except for a constant, dull period-like pain... Hubby is really wishing baby would appear so he can look all cute with baby :P

LOL You'd have to be mad to go for a walk in my area after dark... might enlist hubby's help if things haven't started moving by the time we go to bed
