What happens at antenatal classes?

I just got confirmation of the antenatal workshop I'm going to in 2 weeks. What is likely to happen at it? It's all in one day between 10am and 4pm.

Thats why I decided to forgo mine....My biggest concern was breathing and Ive learned more about the dos and donts from "House of Babies" on Discovery Health than I probably would from going to classes...

I'm pleased I'm not the only one who watched those programmes! lol My OH thinks it's a little weird I think!

I think antenatal classes differ wherever you go. We have ours book at a hospital at the end of April, and we get three 2 hr sessions... the first one is about labour, second about delivery and third about after the baby is born. We also get a tour around the labour ward and delivery suite. We should also have had a tour of the birthing pool, but that has now been closed down for health and safety reasons. Typical!

I've never been to them, but I've always wondered as well. At least it sounds like I would've just wasted my time lol. I actually felt a bit bad for not going--- the lazy bug bit me.

I don't know if I'll go or not. OH says he's not gonna go so don't really want to go on my own.
Depends if I'll be in a lazy mood those nights and can actually be bothered going.

Didn't have any, I had a 3h information session with a breastfeeding specialist at my hospital, showed us how to get a good latch, breastfeeding positions etc etc.
