Wink

At least one thing went right!!

Had my GTT yesterday and tests came back fine! One less thing to worry about! Was in hospital 8:30 - 1:00 being monitord which wasnt fun but glad its all over!

Have a huge bruise on my arm where they have to keep taking bloods, its the only vien they can get on me so they have to keep putting it into the bruise

I have a scan today which im looking forward to and a consultant so will find out when i can have baby induced/c-section. Midwife says around 39 weeks although i have been speaking to a few women on a support forum for Obstetric Cholestasis and i feel it would be safer around the 37 week mark.
I feel safer knowing that my baby wont be stuck inside with god knows whats happening inside me so fingers crossed she can come then.

Will update on it all later when i come home, will check to see if baby is still girl too! Thats one thing playing on my mind what with all the pink i have bought!!

Anyway hope everyone is doing fine in the last bit of your pregnancys!!!!

Good luck with everything today! I've heard it is better to induce/c-section around 37 weeks if you have obstetric cholestasis. But...then again, I'm not a doctor! haha! Let us know how it goes!

Everything went fine , baby is healthy and said was looking like quite a big baby! Nothing was abnormal on the scan , i didnt ask to make sure she was still a she!

i didnt want to ask as they were checking on more serious issues and there were people training, also a woman was running late so i had her appoinment! Didnt want to have them searching around for parts cos i could see they were in a rush.. i wish i did ask now thinking about it!

Damn being so shy! Just didnt want to be a bother!

But atleast baby is well thank god i opted to get 11lb baby clothes instead of the average newborn! I thought this was going to be a biggin!

Consultant part went well he said basically what i have already everything looked fine blah blah, and have to book in with my actaul consultant in 2 weeks as he wasnt there today. They will then book me in for a c-section and i will know dates etc. So im happy about that, looks like im having a April baby!

Im still waiting on the results of the bloods that were taken for the OC which are the ones that take like 2 weeks to process, the current ones they took havint changed so still high but havent got higher so thats a relief.

What i thought was weird was he said id probably get booked for a c-section depending on what the results are and if they are good they will go ahead... Does that mean if the results come back bad it will have to be earlier??

Question for JO : Does the results that take awhile to process mean it will tell if i have it or dont ? Even though my acid levels are high now it just seems like people are waiting for this test results before anything moves ahead... what is it for exactly?? If that makes sence

Glad your scan went well today and baby is looking good.

Maybe you'll get another scan and you can ask if she is still a she.

I had bloods taken on tuesday to check for this and was supposed to phone today to get results but am too scared to. I don't think I've got it cause it's not been on hands or feet but they were gonna check for it seeing as they were doing other blood work. I'll maybe wait till I go to work on Saturday and check the results myself.

Yes i am on medication , vitimin K and another which is too long for me to read lol, something acid anyway, Ill just have to ask on sat when i go in i spose!!

Jo you have been a great help without you i wouldnt of known about this desiease so thank you so much for reminding women of these symptons. You could of saved my babies life if went full term and something ( god forbid) happened. Thank you

Ill keep updating with each appoinment i have, will find out tomorrow when my next set of appoinments are. joy!

I would deff ring supernurse, then the quicker they can monitor baby if you did happen to have it. Then put you on meds that will help with acid levels and your itching. Did you end up finding out in the end? What were the results ?
