I'm Currently Feeling: | I dunno how you know if they're engaged but last Friday, when I was in hospital, before I left they had to monitor baby and her head was right down behind my pelvic/pubic bone lol.. Dunno what that means to be honest I was just glad she was head down |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Junior still has his head up in my ribs, and he has been there for about 3 weeks, so I think he's going to take his time about it.
The midwife showed me how to feel his head, so I know it's definately up there.

I'm Currently Feeling: | I thought that they didnt drop with 2nd or more pregnancies until time for del, but I'm about 36 weeks and I am sure mine has dropped. If she moves her head I have alot of pain very low and I feel like she's gonna come out. Horrible back ache today. Maybe its from sleeping wrong last night. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | At my MW appointment on tuesday she wrote on my notes that LO is presenting ceph, which I believe is head down but does that mean they are engaged or would that just be the position it was in that day? |

Usually if baby is engaged they will reference 'how much engaged' via a number. |

"0" is the Symphis Pubis or Pubic Bone. |

5cm of 5cm can be felt of your baby's head ABOVE the SP or "0" station.
As baby descends less and less of the head will be able to be felt ABOVE the SP or "0" station, so then we get numbers like:
4/5 or 2/5 or -2/5! |

Not sure though.
